From the Hong Kong toy brand threezero's 1/6 scale articulated figure series 'FigZero', the latest product, the "Gridman the Hyper Agent 12-inch Articulated Figure", from Tsuburaya's classic tokusatsu series 'Gridman the Hyper Agent', has been officially announced for release in Q2 2024.
Gridman the Hyper Agent was originally a non-corporeal energy lifeform, a HYPER AGENT, who came to the human world to pursue the interdimensional criminal "Demon King Kahn Digifer". He resided in the assembled computer "JUNK" in the secret base of the three protagonists, Naoto Sho, Ippei Baba, and Yuka Inoue, transforming into the superhero image designed by Ippei. When Kahn Digifer unleashed monsters to attack the computer world, Gridman merged with Naoto to stop them, and could use various weapons and support machine programs written by Yuka to enhance his combat abilities. In addition to his powerful combat strength to defeat monsters, he could also repair the damaged computer world with his light beams.
The "Gridman the Hyper Agent 12-inch Articulated Figure" boasts an impressive height of approximately 30 cm, with a total of 38 points of articulation throughout its body, allowing for dynamic posing. There are almost no exposed joint parts, as the entire body sculpt is crafted from ABS, PVC, and other plastic parts combined with specially coated fabric. This construction offers both durability and elasticity, effectively covering the joints and replicating the texture of the in-show suit.
Furthermore, both eyes in the head and the energy lamp on the chest feature built-in LED light-up mechanisms, further recreating his appearance from the series. Accessories include four pairs of interchangeable hands, an Ion Sword that can form two configurations: "Gridman Sword" and "Thunder Axe", and a Barrier Shield. These allow for dynamic battle poses wielding the sword and shield, as well as iconic stances for his beam attacks, "Gridman Beam" and "Fixer Beam"!
