Japanese figure manufacturer FLARE, following the "2B (YoRHa No.2 Type B)" released in 2019, recently announced the latest scale figure product from "NieR:Automata," "2B (YoRHa No.2 Type B) Version 2.0," slated for release in October 2024.
One of the three android protagonists, "YoRHa No.2 Type B" is a combat-model android belonging to the Bunker, skilled in using close-range weapons such as katanas and spears, and capable of long-range attacks via her Pod. She is a calm and collected soldier, speaking with little emotion, and refrains from unnecessary conversation outside of mission requirements, strictly adhering to the YoRHa android principle of not possessing emotions. However, as the game's story progresses, players will gradually perceive 2B's more human-like impulses, her sincerity, and her gentle, considerate side.
For this release of "2B (YoRHa No.2 Type B) Version 2.0," sculptor Mitsumasa Yoshizawa, who also crafted the previous version, was once again invited to handle the prototype sculpting and sample coloring. He meticulously recreated 2B's charming facial features and the intricate cutouts and embroidery details on her Gothic Lolita-style attire. Posed holding the Virtuous Contract and Virtuous Treaty, she strikes a cool, battle-ready stance, while also showcasing 2B's elegant physique.
Unlike the previous release, which was offered in two separate versions, the Version 2.0 product includes both a bare-faced head without the blindfold and a high-cut lower body replacement part depicting her cooling skirt removed after self-destruction. With a single product, you can freely interchange parts to display multiple styles!
