The popular assembly model candy toy series "SHOKUGAN MODELING PROJECT", released by BANDAI CANDY, the candy toy division of Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd., recently announced the latest product from the classic robot anime "Chodenji Robo Combattler V", the "Chodenji Robo Combattler V LET'S COMBINE Set", slated for release in March 2024.
Combattler V is a giant combining robot developed by Dr. Nambara, who foresaw a future conflict against the subterranean Earth invaders, the Campbellians. With assistance from the United Nations, he utilized super electromagnetic power to create it. Gathering Hyoma Aoi, Juzo Naniwa, Daisaku Nishikawa, Kosuke Kita, and his granddaughter Chizuru Nambara from across Japan, he formed the "Battle Team" to pilot the five battle machines. Once the five machines combine into Combattler V, it can use its robust armor and powerful super electromagnetic energy to combat the biological weapons and battle machines sent by the Campbellian army.
The "SMP Chodenji Robo Combattler V LET'S COMBINE Set" bundles the previously released general retail main unit and the Premium Bandai exclusive expansion parts. The overall product design also pays significant homage to past Chogokin toys released by Bandai, featuring saturated colors with a metallic texture, unique LOGO stickers on the abdomen reminiscent of Chogokin toys, two types of cockpit canopy parts (transparent yellow and clear), a parts classification display box resembling those from that era's toys, and a newly designed outer box, among other unique new elements that differentiate it from the standard version.
The rest remains the same as the standard version. In addition to the Combattler V main unit, it includes a super luxurious array of accessories, allowing for the recreation of the five battle machines' separation and combination states. It also comes with weapons and effect parts to reproduce various classic special moves, including Twin Lancer, Chodenji Yo-Yo, Atomic Burner, and Grand Missile, among others. Furthermore, it can transform to recreate the poses for Chodenji Spin and Grand Tank Impact!
