Japanese toy company EVOLUTION TOY's METAL ACTION series will release an articulated toy of the training unit version of the main robot "VIFAM" (VIFAM, バイファム) from the classic robot anime *Galactic Drifter Vifam*! It is scheduled for release in February 2024, priced at 30,850 JPY.
The work *Galactic Drifter Vifam* (銀河漂流バイファム) began airing in October 1983, produced by Japan's SUNRISE (now Bandai Namco Filmworks), with a total of 46 episodes. The story draws inspiration from *Mobile Suit Gundam* and *Two Years' Vacation*, depicting a future in 2058 where the colony planet "Credo" (クレアド), tens of light-years away from Earth, is invaded and destroyed by aliens. After multiple escapes, only a group of boys and girls around 14 years old remain. In an attempt to rescue their family members captured by the aliens, they decide to use their remaining spacecraft and armed robots "Round Vernian" to counterattack the aliens, heading towards their home planet. Thus, the story unfolds.

This Metal Action series VIFAM training unit version, released by EVOLUTION TOY, differs from the numbered units in that its chest, both wrists, and the armor on both lower leg sides are yellow, used to distinguish it from the regular units. Like the previously released official version, it recreates high posability with original joints, allowing for various poses. Although it lacks additional flight equipment, it still includes the beam gun weapon, 4 sets of interchangeable hand parts, and the escape pod.
