Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS company, under its immensely popular "Ichiban Kuji" brand, where every draw wins a prize, has announced the latest product themed after the super popular manga "Laid-Back Camp△", "Ichiban Kuji Laid-Back Camp△", scheduled for release on November 25, 2023, with a reference price of 750 JPY per draw.
The popular manga series "Laid-Back Camp△" (Yuru Camp△), created by Japanese manga artist Afro, centers around high school girl Shima Rin, who enjoys solo camping during the off-season. While camping at Lake Motosu, she has a chance encounter with Kagamihara Nadeshiko, who came to see Mt. Fuji by bicycle but overslept and found herself in a predicament. After interacting with Rin, Nadeshiko develops an interest in camping and subsequently joins her school's "Outdoor Activities Club," beginning a story of a group of high school girls enjoying camping knowledge, outdoor cooking, and other outdoor activities together.
"Ichiban Kuji Laid-Back Camp△" differs from most current merchandise, which primarily uses anime settings, by producing all prizes using original illustrations drawn by Afro-sensei. The grand prizes, Prize A and the LAST ONE Prize, are extremely rare original manga version Shima Rin figures. They are based on her cute short-haired look from the latest manga chapters, where she has lost her hair buns. Standing at 10 cm tall, they depict her sitting pose leaning against a motorcycle. The hair parts use transparent material to replicate the translucent texture that allows her eyes to show through in the illustrations. The difference between the two prizes is that Prize A has a more vibrant color application, while the LAST ONE Prize has a lower saturation.
