BANDAI SPIRITS Collectors Division TAMASHII NATIONS has announced today that the latest product from the new 6-inch action figure series 'GUNDAM UNIVERSE', designed for Mobile Suit Gundam fans worldwide, will be the "Unicorn Gundam Unit 02 Banshee Norn" from Mobile Suit Gundam UC, scheduled for release in May 2024.
RX-0 Unicorn Gundam Unit 02 "Banshee" was developed based on operational data feedback from Unit 01. While the basic performance of the two units did not differ significantly, the anime version added various psycho-frame armaments, "Armed Armor". For the final battle, the Norn type, equipped with "Armed Armor XC" and "Armed Armor DE", appeared, enhancing Banshee's weaponry and performance, and strengthening the pilot's affinity with the mobile suit. This allowed even Lieutenant Riddhe, with his lower Newtype abilities, to receive psycho-waves and activate the NT-D Destroy Mode.
The "GUNDAM UNIVERSE Unicorn Gundam Unit 02 Banshee Norn" is a modification of previously released Unicorn Gundam series figures. Standing approximately 15 cm tall, it captures the Destroy Mode activated pose. The distinctive orange-yellow psycho-frame is faithfully reproduced through color application, and it features a more robust armor design compared to the original setting. Armaments include a Beam Magnum rifle, Beam Sabers, and the "Armed Armor DE" shield, which can be equipped on both arms for dynamic posing.
