Bandai's GASHAPON capsule toy division, following the highly popular "Waiting Animals" series and several innovative products like the "Waiting Vegetables," is now launching a new, delicious-looking series: the "Waiting Dim Sum" capsule toys! There are five types in total, with a reference price of 300 JPY per capsule, scheduled for release in November 2023.
The "Waiting Dim Sum" series continues the anthropomorphic style of its predecessors. This time, the protagonists are iconic specialty dishes found in Hong Kong-style dim sum restaurants, including: Xiaolongbao (soup dumplings), Crystal Shrimp Dumplings, Emerald Dumplings, Siu Mai, and Longevity Peach Buns—five types in total. At approximately 3 cm in size, they feature bouncy and delicious-looking shapes and forms, with the translucent crystal dumplings being particularly well-replicated! Not only do these dim sum treats look pitifully adorable, with their legs tucked in and hands resting on their knees as if patiently waiting, but this time, each item also comes with a mini steamer basket base, making the whole set look incredibly tempting!
