Japanese model manufacturer Aoshima (アオシマ) announced yesterday (the 1st) the latest addition to its "MOVIE MECHA (ムービーメカ)" product series: the iconic "Time Machine" (タイムマシン) from the sci-fi comedy film "Back to the Future," based on a modified DeLorean DMC-12, is making its debut as a 1/24 scale assembly model! It is scheduled for release in March 2024.
This Time Machine, produced with all-new molds, will measure approximately 18.4 cm long when assembled. It not only highly reproduces the beautiful and classic body lines of the DeLorean DMC-12, the various details after its modification into a time machine, and its iconic license plate, but also features cool gull-wing doors that can actually be opened – incredibly stylish! From the official images, the interior also shows excellent fidelity. In addition to being able to attach an antenna for greater accuracy to the film's scenes, the radio and camera used in the time travel experiment on October 26, 1985, will also be included. Coupled with flame effect parts, the completeness of the time-jump moment is greatly enhanced!
