Close to the Anime's Refined and Cool Design, 'ROBOT SPIRITS GAT-X103 Buster Gundam ver. A.N.I.M.E.' Confirmed for Commercialization!

The 'ROBOT SPIRITS ver. A.N.I.M.E.' series of robot-themed articulated finished products, released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectible toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., has announced the confirmed commercialization of the "GAT-X103 Buster Gundam" from "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED". Detailed product information will be released soon.

GAT-X103 Buster Gundam is one of the five prototype mobile suits from the first phase of the GAT-X series, secretly developed by the Atlantic Federation. The concept behind this machine's development was a long-range artillery support unit, utilizing the X100 series frame which faithfully reproduces human movements. It is equipped with two distinct shooting weapons via its waist-mounted auxiliary arms: the "350mm Gun Launcher" and the "94mm High-Energy Beam Rifle," as well as a 6-tube missile pod for close-range defense. Furthermore, these two shooting weapons can be connected end-to-end; when the gun launcher is in front, it can fire "Anti-Armor Shotgun" rounds, and when the beam rifle is in front, it can be used as a "Hyper Impulse Long-Range Sniper Rifle."

The "ROBOT SPIRITS GAT-X103 Buster Gundam ver. A.N.I.M.E." is produced based on the anime's design drafts, similar to the previously announced four units: Strike, Duel, Blitz, and Aegis. It features a refined and cool armor design, combined with the series' long-cultivated flexible articulated joint design. The missile pods on top of both shoulders feature a hatch deployment mechanism, and the movable mechanism of the waist-mounted auxiliary arms is also reproduced, allowing the two shooting weapons to be rotated forward for use, recreating the firing stance after combining into a large weapon.
