The alloy action figure 'MORTAL MIND' series, released by Chinese toy brand CCSTOYS, today unveiled the developing prototype of its latest product, 'Gunbuster,' from the anime 'Gunbuster,' with the release date yet to be determined.
Gunbuster is a superluminal, versatile, large-scale transforming and combining mechanical weapon developed by Coach Koichiro Ohta. It is formed by the combination of two single-person space battleships, boasting an astonishing 240-meter height that defies common sense, and two extremely powerful Buster Reactors. It can unleash overwhelming force to perform various martial arts and utilize a wide array of armaments against space monsters. This machine is primarily piloted by protagonist Noriko Takaya, who, through her extraordinary 'effort' and 'perseverance,' enables Gunbuster to achieve nearly invincible power, capable of executing powerful moves such as the Super Inazuma Kick.
'MORTAL MIND Gunbuster' is a product developed to commemorate the 35th anniversary of 'Gunbuster' and is the most ambitious release in the MORTAL MIND series' history. From the currently revealed developing prototype, one can observe its powerfully imposing physique and shoulder armor, faithfully reproduced in impressive scale. The heavy exterior armor is intricately detailed, and it will also come with a rich array of armaments and accessories. Currently revealed armaments include a posable cape with a weathered texture, an assembly-type Buster Tomahawk, and a Buster Home Run Bat featuring a magnetic lighting mechanism.
Furthermore, the concealed cannon ports in the shoulders and calves feature deployment mechanisms. After deploying the armor on the arms and legs, discharge spike parts can be attached. The special move 'Inazuma Kick' effect can also be easily installed on the soles of the feet via a magnetic design. Moreover, the most iconic scene, 'extracting the Buster Reactor,' can also be recreated with this product! The chest boasts excellent internal sculpting, allowing the armor, ribs, and Buster Reactor parts to be removed layer by layer, and by replacing parts, the scene of the right hand extracting the Buster Reactor can be faithfully reproduced!
