Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS company's collectible toy division "TAMASHII NATIONS" is releasing the latest product in its popular S.H.Figuarts action figure series, based on the popular anime series "Kaiju No. 8", the "S.H.Figuarts Mina Ashiro"! The suggested retail price is 8,250 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in June 2024.
The manga series "Kaiju No. 8", created by manga artist Naoya Matsumoto, began serialization in July 2020 on Shueisha's online manga platform Shonen Jump+, achieving an astonishing total of over 30 million views within 3 months and 100 million views within a year, setting a platform record. Mina Ashiro (亜白 ミナ), who appears in the series, is the protagonist Hibino's childhood friend. The two promised to join the Defense Force together when they were young. By the time Hibino joined, she was already the captain of the 3rd Division of the Defense Force and a candidate for division commander.
The "S.H.Figuarts Mina Ashiro" action figure is produced according to the anime character's proportions, faithfully recreating Mina's cool and sleek black ponytail, the armor and logo of her Defense Force uniform, waist pouch, and other details. It also includes her signature weapon – the Heavy Sniper Cannon! With interchangeable expressions such as a normal face, angry face, smiling face, and device-wearing face, along with interchangeable hand gestures, you can enjoy recreating her heroic poses while battling Kaiju!
▼Bonus accessory is an interchangeable "looking left" expression for Kaiju No. 8 (sold separately)!
