The LEGO Super Mario series, developed in collaboration by Danish toy company LEGO and Japanese Nintendo, will release two new products in December 2023: the No. 71429 "Nabbit at Toad's Shop Expansion Set" and the No. 71430 "Penguin Family Snow Adventure Expansion Set"!
These two sets are positioned as Expansion Sets, both combining a scene with buildable characters. They can be played with the Mario, Luigi, or Peach Starter Courses. Toad's Shop is a highly iconic element in the Super Mario Bros. video games, and this LEGO rendition faithfully recreates its red mushroom roof. While a bit simple overall, it's certainly charming when displayed. The other set features a highly detailed ice cave, with an excellent ice slide made from numerous flat pieces! Goomba even wears a Santa hat, which is incredibly cute.
