Hailed as the savior of the MCU, the highly acclaimed Disney+ series "Loki" Season 2 has reached its grand finale. However, many viewers, even after witnessing Loki complete his glorious purpose, might still be unsure about what exactly transpired. Therefore, we will briefly explain the situation in the final episode and analyze from the original comic perspective why Loki, having transformed into the "God of Stories," was able to accomplish these feats.
First, let's take a look at what "Loki" Season 2 was all about.
Continuing from the Season 1 finale, we saw Loki sent back to the TVA alone, only to find that the architecture within was vastly different from what he had seen before, and even his companions didn't recognize him. It was later revealed that he had actually returned to the TVA's past due to a phenomenon called "time-slipping."
After much effort, he successfully anchored himself to the TVA's present timeline, rejoining his companions to protect the branching timelines that began to proliferate after the death of "He Who Remains." Concurrently, they had to try to save the "Temporal Loom" from destruction and counter the efforts of Renslayer and "Ms. Minute" to resurrect He Who Remains.
However, unexpectedly, all efforts ultimately proved futile. Loki's centuries of struggle after mastering time-slipping were all in vain; he had to sacrifice himself to save the greater good...
The Entire Story of Season 2 Was Within He Who Remains' Expectations
At the end of the previous season, He Who Remains' words, "See you soon," held a much deeper meaning than they appeared – not that other versions of him would see Loki again, but that Loki would indeed see him again very soon. The entire plot of Season 2 was within his grasp; he already knew Loki would embark on a series of adventures and eventually return to this very place to speak with him.

So, What Exactly Happened in the Grand Finale of "Loki" Season 2?
After this, the story revealed many truths but also left many mysteries, such as what exactly was the "Temporal Loom" that Loki spent centuries trying to save?

The answer is: set aside the subtitles on D+. "Loom" means a weaving machine, which implies it is actually the "Temporal Weaver," a tool that refines chaotic time into "timelines."
However, according to He Who Remains' explanation, this device actually functions as a "Failsafe" for the Sacred Timeline, or more simply, a "fool-proof device." Its true purpose is to delete all timelines except the Sacred Timeline in one go when timelines become excessively overloaded, thereby protecting the Sacred Timeline.
After He Who Remains' death, timelines began to diverge infinitely, causing the Temporal Weaver to face overload. This situation itself would inevitably lead to all timelines being deleted until only the Sacred Timeline remained. Therefore, Loki and his companions were powerless in this matter, leading him to seek an alternative solution.
This method involved Loki himself becoming another tool that would exist there forever. So, he returned to the moments before the explosion, stepped out of the blast door ahead of time, and faced the immense temporal radiation alone – but as the "God of Stories" who can rewrite narratives, he was completely unafraid of being erased by time. We will explain later why "time" is insignificant to "stories," and this is likely why he gained the power to move freely through
