The assembly model series "Furai Model", launched by Hong Kong model manufacturer FLAME TOYS, is set to release its latest product from "Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger", the "Megazord", in November 2023. Today, the approximately 381-part frame has been revealed.
The Megazord is a giant robot formed by the combination of five Zords: Tyrannosaurus, Mastodon, Triceratops, Sabertooth Tiger, and Pterodactyl. In the American "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" continuity, it is merely a mechanical entity powered by solar energy. However, in the original "Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger", it is a guardian deity with its own consciousness, capable of fighting independently without the Zyurangers' control and able to manifest various miraculous phenomena. Its weapon is the "Dino Sword God Horn" which descends from the heavens, capable of unleashing the powerful finishing move "Super Legendary Lightning Slash".
The "Furai Model Megazord" is composed of 381 multi-colored molded parts made of ABS/POM (silver, black, red, blue, yellow, green...), along with some pre-painted parts. Once assembled, it can form the Tyrannosaurus, Mastodon, Triceratops, Sabertooth Tiger, and Pterodactyl, faithfully reproducing the colors and patterns of each Zord. It also features the same articulation and transformation/combination mechanisms as the original, allowing for the complete Megazord to be recreated at a height of 21 cm!
Compared to the previously released Hito Kara Kuri's customized Megazord, the Furai Model version's design is more faithful to the original style. However, there are still modifications to the body proportions and some detailed sculpting, giving it a more substantial and robust impression. After combination, all joints maintain a flexible range of motion, and the ten fingers even feature independently articulated joints for posing. Not only can it wield the Dino Sword and Mastodon Shield for battle poses, but it can also transform into the "Beast Tank Dino Tank" form!
