The popular assembly model candy toy series 'SHOKUGAN MODELING PROJECT', released by BANDAI CANDY, the Shokugan division of Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd., today announced the latest product from "Super Robot Wars OG", the "R-GUN Powered", scheduled for release in April 2024.
The RW-1 R-GUN Powered is a form developed as part of the SRX Project, where the R-GUN's back is augmented with the powerful "High-Performance Twin Barrel Mega Cannon". It is Unit 1, developed as a "dedicated weapon for SRX", and designed as a small, pilotable PT for ease of transport. Compared to other R-series units, it is equipped with higher-level sensors and engines, possessing combat capabilities on par with its counterparts. It can also activate its Heavy Metal Annihilation Cannon mode, transforming into the "Choujikuu Tronium Buster Cannon" (Super Dimensional Tronium Buster Cannon). It can perform the combined attack "Tenka Tenka Ichigeki Hissatsu Hou" (Ultimate One-Shot Kill Cannon) with SRX, and together with SRX's successor unit, Pablos, it can unleash the "Tenka Tenka Ichigeki Hissatsu Hou Kai" (Ultimate One-Shot Kill Cannon - Modified).
The "SMP R-GUN Powered" re-releases the R-GUN main unit and its enhancement parts, which were previously sold separately, as a single package. The R-GUN main unit, standing approximately 13 cm tall, features flexible articulated joints. It includes weapons such as the "Twin Barrel Revolver Rifle", "Slasher Boomerang", and "Beam Sword", along with effect parts. Furthermore, it can transform from R-GUN into R-GUN Powered, recreating its appearance after activating the Heavy Metal Annihilation Cannon mode and transforming into the "Choujikuu Tronium Buster Cannon". By using the connector included with the separately sold "SMP Pablos", it can be equipped to recreate the "Tenka Tenka Ichigeki Hissatsu Hou Kai" stance!
