Takeshi Hongo and Ruriko Midorikawa escape from the SHOCKER organization, pursued by SHOCKER's Spider Augment and lower-ranking members. Ruriko is captured by the lower-ranking members, but Takeshi Hongo transforms into the Grasshopper Augment, swiftly defeating them to rescue Ruriko and taking refuge in a mountain safe house. Ruriko's father, Hiroshi Midorikawa, a SHOCKER scientist, appears there and reveals that he has transformed Takeshi Hongo into a new body, a masterpiece of the Insect Composite Augmentation Surgery Project, achieving the composite augment form transformation through the power of "Ki". Unfortunately, because a tracker had previously been placed on Ruriko, Dr. Midorikawa is subsequently killed by the pursuing Spider Augment, dissolving into foam. Ruriko is once again captured and taken away, while Takeshi Hongo, pursuing on the Cyclone, simultaneously transforms into the Grasshopper Augment and defeats the Spider Augment under the name "Kamen Rider"...
I admit I have a soft spot for Shin Kamen Rider...
The Shin Kamen Riders stand approximately 145mm and 150mm tall. Their overall sculpt and appearance are closer to their live-action counterparts and more aesthetically pleasing! Although their green color is the factory plastic color, the plastic feel is not overly strong. The head sculpt perfectly recreates the suit design, the emblem tampo print is excellent, the belt paintwork is precise, and the mask and various body parts thoroughly replicate the suit's appearance, making their aesthetics impeccable!
The QC, coloring, and paint application are commendable! Accessories include 3 pairs of interchangeable wrist parts (left and right) and coats. The articulation in all parts of the body is also good, with appropriate tightness, allowing for single-leg standing without issue, so you don't have to worry about posing them in any scene from the show. My dissatisfaction stems from the limited arm articulation due to the sculpt and the inability to maintain the sculpt's integrity when bending the knees. However, the scarf not being made of fabric with wire, and the ill-fitting coat, deducted quite a few points...
Finally, a reminder: remember to remove the coats after playing, otherwise, they might suffer the same fate as 1/3 Dollfie figures...
Anyway, a must-have for true Rider fans!
