Japanese model manufacturer GOOD SMILE COMPANY's MECHA SMILE, a model toy brand focused on robots and mecha, will hold its new product announcement event "Mecha Smile Impact 2024 WINTER" on December 9th, where it announced the release of a commemorative product: "MODEROID Strelitzia EX Color Ver."!
In the original mecha anime "DARLING in the FRANXX", the anti-Klaxosaur weapon FRANXX "Strelitzia", piloted by the protagonist "02", possesses superior performance exceeding other units. In its berserk mode, it is a highly mobile beast, and in its humanoid form, it wields the powerful weapon "Queen Pike" with outstanding combat capabilities. However, this also places an immense burden on the pilot, earning 02 the title of "Partner Killer".
Based on the plastic model "MODEROID Strelitzia", the limited edition "MODEROID Strelitzia EX Color Ver." features a more luxurious MODEROID-exclusive original color scheme created through electroplating, clear, and metallic molding. Standing approximately 18 cm tall, the kit's yellow parts have been changed to gold-plated molding, white parts to translucent milky white, and red parts to metallic molding. All stickers, except for those for facial expressions, have also been changed to metallic colors.
It includes two face parts: one pre-painted face and one blank face for creating expressions with stickers. It also comes with the massive 27 cm "Queen Pike". The cables connecting to the main body are made of soft material. Additionally, a shield and auxiliary stand are included.
