Previously, we shared with you, our fellow toy enthusiasts, the space-themed Technic series sets from the Danish LEGO toy company. Now, for the January 2024 releases, the City series also features 7 new space-themed products set to launch! These are numbered 60428 to 60434, so let's take a closer look.
In this wave of City series space sets, you'll not only find the SPACE logo on the packaging, similar to the Technic series sets and the Creator series "31152 Astronaut," but the overall color palette also features a predominant white and orange scheme. The vehicles showcase a distinct design charm compared to the Technic series; for instance, we personally find the six-wheeled space rover to be quite appealing. The inclusion of a "Modular" Space Station in the product names is also very cool, as each module can be assembled using a standardized design and the new orange Link Bricks, allowing them to detach from the space station to become spacecraft-like vehicles.
Another noteworthy aspect is the introduction of these newly printed astronaut minifigures, utilizing new parts! Additionally, the mini-drone in 60428, and the aliens appearing in 60431, 60432, and 60434 are all excellent elements.
