Developed by Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya, the highly customizable model kit series "HEXA GEAR" has announced its latest product, "Rayblade Impulse [Reloadead]", slated for release in May 2024.
Rayblade Impulse [Reloadead] is the successor unit to "Rayblade Impulse", the first product in the "HEXA GEAR" series. In addition to the standard hexagonal connection parts, the entire unit features a completely new design and new mold production. Compared to the 2017 Rayblade Impulse, not only has the internal parts structure been thoroughly revamped, and its customization and modification performance significantly enhanced, but its styling and articulation are also more naturally feline-like. The overall size and proportion have also been enlarged, especially the "Rayblade" effect parts that deploy from the sides of the unit, which boast a more dynamic and powerful appearance.
The approximately 26 cm long body features a precise internal frame structure, reproducing details such as the cannon barrels, tires, and cockpit. The overall articulation design significantly enhances the range of motion for the limbs, head, and neck, allowing for natural running, jumping, and attacking poses reminiscent of real beasts. The base of the distinctive "Rayblade" weapon features a four-axis movable joint, and the two effect parts are an impressive 23 cm long. Furthermore, the transformation mechanism into vehicle mode is also present, not only capable of recreating a multi-wheeled tank equipped with heavy weaponry but also transformable into a heavy motorcycle appearance using BONUS parts.
The cockpit's control sticks, seats, and foot pedals come in both single and double specifications, accommodating multiple Governor figures (sold separately). The accessories also include 3mm and 5mm common standard adapter parts compatible with Kotobukiya's original model kit series, allowing for customization not only with "HEXA GEAR" but also with products like M.S.G, Frame Arms Girl, Megami Device, and more!
