The everyday-life bishojo plastic model kit series "Sousai Shojo Teien," a collaboration between Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya and illustrator Morikura En, officially announced today the latest product for its fourth character, "Ema Koishikawa [St. Iris Girls' Academy High School - Summer Uniform] Dreaming Style Wonderland Princess," slated for release in July 2024. This product will be sold exclusively through designated Kotobukiya channels.
The new character, Ema Koishikawa, is a petite and adorable girl, standing at only 140 cm tall, but she becomes quite displeased when praised for being "petite and adorable." Her personality is moody and quite conceited, making her a "super sensitive princess" who is not very good at interacting with others. Ema loves games, anime, tokusatsu, and due to her small stature, she greatly admires the huge and cool things like monsters and robots. She dreams of becoming an excellent illustrator known as a "divine artist."
The "Dreaming Style Wonderland Princess" limited edition differs from the regular version announced simultaneously, featuring molded colors reminiscent of a sleepwalking Alice, with golden hair and blue clothing. The skin tone of the body parts is also brighter than the regular version, and it includes "braided bangs parts" that were not adopted in the character's original design. In Japan, it will also come with an "Ema's Room A3 size background paper" as a bonus, but this is not included in overseas distributed versions.
Aside from the colors, the rest is identical to the regular version, featuring a newly sculpted body with a total height of only 14 cm. Details such as the golden buttons and white lines on the outfit are pre-painted, and precise part separation provides a flexible range of articulation, allowing for various adorable poses. Additionally, accessories include 11 types of interchangeable hand parts, body replacement parts to recreate a side-twist at the waist, lower body parts to recreate a sitting posture (seiza/sports sit), and three types of skirt parts (normal, flowing, and sitting) for replacement.
The head, which is the soul of the model, uses more than 10 parts to recreate Ema's charming wavy long hair. It can be combined with various hair accessory parts, twin bun hair, twin tail hair, and other styles. Four pre-printed face parts – "smiling face," "shouting face," "pouting face," and "embarrassed face" – allow for a wide range of expressions. Accessories include the "SANAT tablet" and "drawing pen," essential for a divine artist, a "HEXA GEAR smartphone" that can switch between normal and gaming modes, as well as the designated St. Iris Girls' Academy school bag and emblem.
