Following the release of Legolas, Gandalf, Witch-king of Angmar, and Gimli in their 'Master Forge' series, based on the epic fantasy film 'The Lord of the Rings', Shanghai-based statue manufacturer Infinity Studio, in collaboration with Penguin Toys, has recently announced their latest product: Aragorn, the direct descendant of the ancient Kings of Men, will also be immortalized as a 1/2 scale full-body statue! Shipping is expected to begin in Q4 2024.
Aragorn, son of Arathorn, is a descendant of the Númenóreans, possessing royal blood and the stature befitting a King of Men. In the film's lore, Aragorn always concealed his royal lineage, operating as a rugged Ranger in the northern lands, conducting reconnaissance and missions, which honed his formidable combat skills and tracking abilities. In 'The Fellowship of the Ring', Aragorn appears as 'Strider', and after the War of the Ring in 'The Return of the King', he ascends to the throne as King Elessar of Gondor.
This piece stands at an impressive 136.4 cm tall. Aragorn's multi-layered Ranger attire is meticulously crafted from dozens of carefully selected fabrics to achieve the most suitable texture. Classic elements such as the Evenstar pendant gifted to him by the Elven Princess Arwen, the reforged sword Narsil, and the gauntlets originally belonging to Gondor's valiant captain Boromir, are all faithfully recreated. The engravings on Narsil's blade and the realistic metallic sheen that gives it a sharp visual effect are absolutely stunning!
The finely rooted, slightly disheveled hair, achieved with intricate hair-implantation techniques, adds a significant touch of lifelike vitality to this Aragorn statue. However, regarding the head sculpt, the editor personally finds it quite subtle; while it is exquisite, the facial contours might genuinely need some adjustment. The base scene is designed based on the architectural ruins of Minas Tirith, conveying an even deeper battle atmosphere.
