Japanese animation studio MAPPA has partnered with renowned statue production company Design COCO to release a "Shibuya Incident Satoru Gojo" 1/7 scale figure, based on the life-sized Satoru Gojo statue displayed at the TV anime "Jujutsu Kaisen" POP UP STORE "Shibuya Incident -CLIMAX-"! The suggested retail price is 49,830 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in February 2025!
Satoru Gojo, the immensely popular character from "Jujutsu Kaisen," hails from the Gojo family, one of the Three Great Families. Upon his first appearance, he was the first-year homeroom teacher at Tokyo Jujutsu High and is one of the four Special Grade Jujutsu Sorcerers, possessing unparalleled strength. While often appearing frivolous and childish, he is also incredibly dependable. Except during combat, he usually covers his peerless beautiful eyes, the "Six Eyes," with an eye mask or sunglasses, revealing a refined and handsome man beneath.
The "MAPPA x Design COCO Jujutsu Kaisen Shibuya Incident Satoru Gojo" 1/7 scale figure is a scaled-down reproduction based on the life-sized display statue, standing approximately 22.8 cm tall. The sculpt is meticulously crafted by a top-tier sculptor, with flawless detail from his hair to his handsome features and powerful fingertips, and impeccable paintwork! It realistically recreates Gojo-sensei's piercing blue eyes revealed as he pulls down his eye mask, with a relaxed smile on his face that simultaneously exudes an unsettling aura. The base is inspired by the interior of the Prison Realm, the Special Grade Cursed Object that sealed Satoru Gojo during the Shibuya Incident, with ominous skulls vividly sculpted one by one. By using commercially available LEDs (sold separately), different effects can be achieved, emitting a mysterious and beautiful glow~
