GOOD SMILE COMPANY of Japan has announced today that the latest product in their 'Nendoroid' series of chibi-style articulated figures, "Hoshino Ruri" from the anime "Martian Successor Nadesico," is scheduled for release in August 2024.
Hoshino Ruri, a highly popular loli character from "Martian Successor Nadesico," was raised with "special education" from a young age. At just 11 years old, she possesses an extraordinary genius intellect and exceptional battleship operating skills, earning her the moniker "Electronic Fairy." Ruri regards the Nadesico's main computer, "Omoikane," as a close friend, while maintaining distance from other humans and rarely showing emotion. After the war against the "Jovian Lizards" concluded, she was adopted by the protagonists Akito Tenkawa and Yurika Misumaru, gaining her first true "family" in life. In just five short years, she grew to become an excellent captain of the new Nadesico.
"Nendoroid Hoshino Ruri" recreates her adorable 11-year-old appearance from the TV series in a low-head-to-body chibi proportion. Meticulously crafted details include her characteristic twin-tail hairstyle, red spherical hair ornaments, and the "NERGAL Heavy Industries" logo on her uniform. For expressions, you can freely swap between her usual taciturn "indifferent face" and an adorable "tongue-out face" making a funny expression. Accessories include effect parts representing the 3D projection of the supercomputer "Omoikane," ramen, and chopsticks, allowing you to recreate Ruri's noodle-eating scene.
Furthermore, pre-ordering this product at the "GOODSMILE Online Shop" will grant you the exclusive bonus "NERGAL Heavy Industries Logo Special Round Base"!
