Japanese toy company EVOLUTION TOY's METAL ACTION series will release the Ultimate Edition of the Pilder Set (パイルダーセット), which combines with the robot in the classic anime 《Mazinger Z》! It is scheduled for release in April 2024, priced at 17,380 JPY.
Created by the renowned manga artist Go Nagai, 《Mazinger Z》 (マジンガーＺ, also translated as "Demon God Z") is undoubtedly a familiar work for many and a beautiful childhood memory. The work was first serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" in February 1972 and was animated and broadcast on television in October of the same year. It later received widespread acclaim when broadcast around the world, achieving an astonishing 80% viewership in European countries such as Spain and Italy (Spain even has a large statue of Mazinger Z), demonstrating its extraordinary charm.
Compared to the previous set, this METAL ACTION Pilder Set released by EVOLUTION TOY includes one additional Pilder, making a total of four types. These are the Hover Pilder (ホバーパイルダー), which appeared in the early stages of the original Mazinger Z, with one anime color version and one original manga color version; the Jet Pilder (ジェットパイルダー) from the later part of the story; and the Brain Condor (ブレーンコンドル) from Great Mazinger. They are mini-sized, made of alloy material, come with a dedicated display stand, and can also combine with Mazinger Z and Great Mazinger from the GABN series. Quite exquisite.
