Danish LEGO toy company's "LEGO ART" series yesterday (20th) unveiled its latest product, numbered 31211, "The Fauna Collection – Macaw Parrots"! It is scheduled for release on January 1, 2024.
This set contains a total of 644 pieces, allowing you to personally build two vibrantly feathered macaw parrots as frameless art pieces. Neither the pink parrot with outstretched wings nor the yellow parrot perched on a flowering branch can stand on their own; they must be mounted on a wall for proper display. Compared to other framed works in the LEGO ART series, the freedom of wall mounting seems to have increased. However, for collectors who are not accustomed to drilling into walls, the appeal might be diminished. Nevertheless, seeing LEGO officially launch such a new creation that feels like building a home zoo on your wall is truly exciting, and we look forward to more Fauna Collection sets in the future.
Regarding specifications, the pink parrot stands approximately 34 cm tall with a wingspan of 55 cm, making it quite a commanding presence. Displaying it alongside some ornamental indoor plants would undoubtedly be excellent! (Hmm, time to repaint the walls.)
