Japanese toy brand Prime 1 Studio, known for releasing various high-quality character statues, will launch a 1/7 scale figure of the heroine "Shikimori-san" from the anime series "Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie" under its new ACG character brand series "PRISMA WING", scheduled for November 2024!
The work "Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie" (可愛いだけじゃない式守さん) was created by Japanese manga artist "Keigo Maki" and originally serialized on the manga platform "Magazine Pocket" in February 2019. It was later released as tankōbon volumes and adapted into an anime. The serialization concluded in 2023, with a total of 178 chapters. The cumulative sales of the tankōbon volumes have exceeded 4.6 million copies.
The story follows the male protagonist Izumi, a high school student with perpetually bad luck, prone to misfortunes and injuries. During his entrance ceremony, his application form was blown onto a tree. Fortunately, the heroine Shikimori (full name Shikimori Miyako, revealed at the end of the original work) came to his aid, coolly climbing the tree to retrieve it for him. Shikimori initially thought her plan to become a graceful lady and have a simple romance was ruined, but she was unexpectedly moved by Izumi's sincere gratitude and decided to be with him. The beautiful Shikimori is usually cute and outgoing, but she always deftly protects Izumi from sudden dangers. Her occasional "gap moe" moments, where she seriously pushes up her bangs to reveal a determined gaze and cool expression, make Izumi's heart flutter. The story centers around these two, along with their friends Inuzuka, Nekozaki, Hachimitsu, and others, unfolding a series of fresh and youthful daily school life events.
This 1/7 scale figure of Shikimori-san from PRISMA WING stands approximately 22 cm tall. It faithfully recreates Shikimori in her student uniform, posed leaning against a sidewalk bench, appearing both cute and elegant. Shikimori-san's long pink hair is sculpted with a dynamic, wind-swept feel, complementing the slight movement of her right hand gently touching her skirt, making the overall presentation incredibly lively. Her bright blue eyes and slender legs evoke her gentle demeanor towards Izumi in the series. Furthermore, for her expression, there is an interchangeable part featuring her cool, determined gaze. Those who pre-order online through Prime 1 Studio will receive a special bonus scarf accessory, crafted from real fabric, giving it a premium texture.
