Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd.'s GASHAPON capsule toy brand will release a new product in the second week of this January that recreates nostalgic memories in miniature: "Maxell MD Miniature Charms (ミニチュアチャーム)"!
In the 90s, MiniDisc (MD for short) was a sensation, a new audio format that emerged after CDs. It debuted with the ability to record 74 minutes of audio while being only a quarter the size of a CD, making it not only more convenient for people to carry but also allowing them to record their own content, leading to the subsequent birth of numerous MD portable players. The MDs released by Japanese electronics company Maxell Corporation in 1993 are surely a childhood memory for many toy enthusiasts.
This gashapon series is designed based on Maxell's "MD-74" and "Couler 80" products, miniaturizing them into a 3.5 cm three-dimensional form, and faithfully reproducing Maxell's characteristic translucent frosted plastic casing – absolutely beautiful! The bead chain on the top left allows you to hang it on your bag! Furthermore, you can use the included paper slip to write down your favorite songs or artists.
