The alloy action figure series "MORTAL MIND" (鐵魄), released by Chinese toy brand CCSTOYS, recently unveiled the developing prototype of "Mazinkaizer SKL" from "Mazinkaizer SKL" for the first time. The release date is TBD.
The OVA anime "Mazinkaizer SKL," released in 2011, deviates from the settings of previous OVA Mazinkaizer versions, featuring new characters, mecha designs, and an original story background. It depicts the WSO's combat unit SKULL FORCE intervening in the power struggle between the three major factions on Machine Island, joining forces with the Aira Army to fight against the Kiba and Galan armies. The two protagonists, Ken Kaido and Ryo Magami, who famously declare "We are Hell!", pilot the super robot "Mazinkaizer SKL," a power that transcends demons and gods. Its appearance incorporates numerous skull designs and is equipped with two distinct armaments: the retractable greatsword "Gazan Blade" and the transforming axe-gun "Breast Trigger," to complement Ken Kaido's expertise in close-quarters combat and Ryo Magami's unparalleled precision shooting skills.
Judging from the currently revealed prototype of "Mazinkaizer SKL," the overall design style and skeletal structure inherit from previously released MORTAL MIND Mazinger series products. It boasts rich armor details and separate parts that differ from the original work. In addition to the characteristic tattered cape, numerous spiked chains are newly added, wrapping around its body. The chest armor shows a separation mechanism that recreates the "Breast Trigger" mode, however, the signature weapon "Gazan Blade," which can be used as a greatsword or naginata, has not yet been displayed.
