GASHAPON, the capsule toy brand of Bandai Co., Ltd. Japan, has announced today that the latest product from the 'Mobile Suit Gundam' heavy equipment X ensemble capsule toy series, 'MOBILE SUIT ENSEMBLE', characterized by common connection points and infinite customization, will be the "EX50 Full Armor Gundam (Thunderbolt Ver.)" from "Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt Sector", scheduled for release in July 2024.
Appearing in "Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt Sector", the FA-78 Full Armor Gundam is one of the products of the Earth Federation Forces' weapon system development project, the "FSWS Plan". Based on the RX-78 series Mobile Suit, it features numerous additional armor, auxiliary propulsion systems, sealed joint processing, a large beam cannon, missile pods, and other extensive armaments. It can also equip four shields simultaneously using its two arms and auxiliary arms, possessing greater firepower, armor, and mobility than standard Mobile Suits. In the series, it was assigned to the Earth Federation Forces unit "Moore Brotherhood" and piloted by Ensign Io Fleming, engaging in battles against the Principality of Zeon's "Living Dead Division" in the Thunderbolt Sector.
The "MOBILE SUIT ENSEMBLE EX50 Full Armor Gundam (Thunderbolt Ver.)" features a main body produced in an SD proportion, approximately 7 cm tall and 6 cm long. Its precise sculpting faithfully reproduces the characteristic black additional armor and intricate details of the entire machine, with some thruster nozzles also restored in color. This product boasts a substantial volume, commensurate with an EX release. In addition to the main body, it includes a twin beam rifle, four shields, rocket launchers, six-tube missile pods, a large beam cannon, and large fuel tanks and thrusters mounted on the backpack. Furthermore, by disassembling and replacing parts, it can also recreate the RX-78 main body appearance with all armaments removed!
