From Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company's collector's toy division, TAMASHII NATIONS, the popular action figure series "S.H.Figuarts" has announced its latest product from the theatrical anime film "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM": "Kira Yamato (COMPASS Pilot Suit Ver.)". The suggested retail price is 9,900 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in July 2024!
"Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM" is a sequel to "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY" after approximately 20 years, with anime director Mitsuo Fukuda continuing to helm the project. Set in Cosmic Era 75, the story unfolds after the end of the great war, where the anti-Coordinator organization "Blue Cosmos" continues to incite conflicts worldwide. The formerly opposing Earth Alliance and P.L.A.N.T, along with the neutral nation Orb, have jointly established the world peace monitoring organization "COMPASS." Lacus Clyne, the driving force behind ending the war, serves as its first president, and Kira Yamato and others, as members of the organization, travel worldwide to intervene in conflicts.
The "S.H.Figuarts Kira Yamato (COMPASS Pilot Suit Ver.)" action figure stands approximately 14 cm tall, presenting Yamato in his new design wearing the pilot suit of the newly established "COMPASS" organization. The entire figure is crafted using the S.H.Figuarts series' excellent articulation technology, allowing for cool battle poses with various interchangeable hand parts and a gun! Facial expressions include a smiling face, an expressionless face, a shouting face, and a battle expression, along with helmet parts that can be combined. Additionally, it includes the mechanical bird Torii, and can be enjoyed alongside the separately sold "S.H.Figuarts Lacus Clyne (COMPASS Haori Ver.)" to recreate various scenes.
