The popular action figure series "S.H.Figuarts," released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., has announced the latest product from the popular manga "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba," "Tanjiro Kamado," slated for release in July 2024.
The main character, Tanjiro Kamado, is a kind-hearted and extremely righteous 13-year-old boy. He possesses red hair and red eyes, distinct from his younger siblings, and is regarded as an auspicious "Child of the Sun." He shoulders the responsibility of the eldest son, selling charcoal to support his family in place of his deceased father, living a somewhat impoverished but happy life. However, upon returning home one day, he discovers his family massacred by demons, and his only surviving sister, Nezuko, has transformed into a man-eating demon. Yet, Tanjiro is not crushed by the cruelty of the world; to restore his sister to humanity and avenge his family, the boy raises his demon-slaying blade...
The "S.H.Figuarts Tanjiro Kamado" faithfully reproduces his characteristic eyebrows, scar, and earring patterns using printing technology based on the anime's design. His Demon Slayer Corps uniform and black-green checkered haori feature complete color applications. Furthermore, precise part segmentation and joint design ensure both sculptural integrity and a wide range of articulation. He can be posed in both everyday and battle scenes with accessories including 3 interchangeable face parts, 3 pairs of sculpted hands, his Nichirin Blade, and its scabbard.
