The 'HG (High Grade)' series of 1/144 scale Gunpla, known for its most diverse range of mobile suits and released by the HOBBY Division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., today announced the latest product from the theatrical film 'Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM', 'HG 1/144 Gyan Strom (Agnes Giebenrath's Custom Machine)', scheduled for release in April 2024.
ZGMF-2027 Gyan Strom is the successor to the ZGMF-X2000 Gouf Ignited, developed by the ZAFT military, and is operated by the world peace monitoring organization 'COMPASS' as a custom mobile suit. As a new mobile suit in the 'New Millennium Series', the Gyan Strom's design also pays homage to the 'Gyan', a close-combat mobile suit developed by the Principality of Zeon in the original 'Mobile Suit Gundam'. It features the Gyan's characteristic head design and round shield, and is equipped with a heat rod and various beam armaments. The backpack can be swapped between atmospheric and space-use specifications depending on mission requirements.
The 'HG 1/144 Gyan Strom (Agnes Giebenrath's Custom Machine)' is produced using BANDAI's latest color separation and part division technology, faithfully reproducing the characteristic lines below Agnes's machine's head camera and the pink paint on the outer rim of the shield. It also incorporates the 'SEED Action System', capable of recreating classic poses from the Gundam SEED series, and offers an excellent range of motion through movable designs such as the sliding mechanism in the shoulder armor connection points.
For armaments, it includes a beam rifle, beam saber, shield, a dedicated heat rod for the right arm, and an imposing large beam axe. The handle for the stored beam axe is included and can be mounted on the waist. The chest armor features an unfolding mechanism, allowing for the recreation of the Gatling gun's deployed state by inserting the Gatling gun parts. Furthermore, the round shield comes with two beam effect parts that can envelop its surroundings, recreating the state of spinning and cutting after deploying the beam blades.
