Japanese sculptor Harigilly, known for releasing numerous GK models based on FromSoftware's games such as 'Dark Souls' and 'Sekiro', recently announced that he has obtained the one-day license for the Game of the Year, 'Elden Ring'. He will be releasing a new GK model, 'Exquisite, "Walking in Decay"', from 'Elden Ring' at Japan's largest model exhibition, 'Wonder Festival 2024 Winter', held on February 11, 2024. His booth number is 4-05-15.
Exquisite, "Walking in Decay" is a colossal dragon BOSS that appears near the Cathedral of Dragon Communion in the game. In the past, he came to the Cathedral of Dragon Communion for revenge, hating humans who consumed dragon hearts to gain draconic power through "Dragon Communion," earning him the title "Avenger of Dragon Communion." However, after Malenia unleashed the power of the Scarlet Rot, the curse that ravaged the land instantly spread across all of Caelid. Even the mighty dragon Exquisite could not escape, his body becoming covered in a vast amount of white mycelia, with scales and skin oozing blood and gradually festering.
The Exquisite kit sculpted by Harigilly is a hybrid of 3D printing and resin casting. It recreates his powerful crawling pose on the ground at an impressive width of approximately 45 cm. The sculpture meticulously captures his eerie eyes corroded by the Scarlet Rot, the highly organic scales and muscle textures, the white mycelia covering his entire body, and the festering skin oozing blood. The intricate overall design and the extremely dense mycelia parts are astonishing, though assembling them will require extra patience, meticulousness, and skill to refine the tiny components.
