American toy brand FUNKO recently announced its latest product from the "Pop! Moment" series, based on "Invincible": "Omni-Man and Invincible"! It is expected to be released in June 2024, with a suggested retail price of US$39.99, and will be a Previews exclusive.
Published by Image Comics and co-created by Robert Kirkman and Cory Walker, "Invincible" tells the story of "Mark Grayson," who, after his superpowers awaken, transforms from an ordinary high school student into the world-saving teenage hero "Invincible." Mark's father, "Nolan," the nearly invincible great hero "Omni-Man," is a warrior who came to Earth from Viltrum and protected peace; however, with the death of the Guardians of the Globe, Omni-Man's lies gradually began to unravel.
This product reinterprets this brutal father-son fight with the classic styling consistent with the Pop! Vinyl figure series. Mark, beaten to immobility, features extensive bloodstain paintwork, his right eye is so swollen it's almost impossible to see the eyeball, and his limp hands are also very realistic. As for Nolan, whose hands should be on either side of his head, due to the low body-to-head ratio, it looks like he's pointing at his cheek, creating a conflicting sense of cuteness the more you look at it. Coupled with the shattered rock wall scene, this product gains even more completeness.
