The new "GIGANTIC × DEFOREAL" series, a dream collaboration of "GIGANTIC" and "DEFOREAL" soft vinyl figures produced by Japan's PLEX Company and distributed by X-PLUS Company, will once again release a classic First Generation Godzilla product to commemorate the 70th anniversary of "Godzilla": the "Godzilla (1954) Black and White ver." pre-painted figure! It is scheduled for release in April 2024.

The First Generation Godzilla, which appeared in the 1954 film "Godzilla," is also known as "Gojira" or "The Hydrogen Bomb Monster." This black behemoth, weighing 20,000 tons and standing 50 meters tall, inhabits the deep sea. It is speculated to be a transitional creature that evolved from marine reptiles to terrestrial beasts. However, its habitat was destroyed by nuclear tests, causing it to come ashore with hatred to devastate human cities. Tanks and missiles were harmless against it, but its high-temperature heat ray easily engulfed Tokyo in flames. Only Dr. Serizawa's "Oxygen Destroyer" could reduce it to bones.

The "GIGANTIC × DEFOREAL Godzilla (1954) Black and White ver." combines the massive size of GIGANTIC with the cute yet realistic styling of DEFOREAL, enlarging the original approximately 13 cm DEFOREAL First Generation Godzilla to a substantial 24 cm tall and 39 cm long! It features a brand-new paint application that recreates the black and white tones from the film, bringing back the power of the original! The sculpt faithfully reproduces Godzilla's classic scene of biting a train from the film. The train can also be detached via interchangeable parts to display a regular pose; its round eyes and sharp fangs are terrifying, and the paintwork on details like its claws, dorsal fins, and skin boasts realistic precision, yet the overall impression is one of charming playfulness!

▼When the train is removed, it seems even more adorably bewildered!
