Max Factory, the Japanese model manufacturer, has officially announced today that the latest product from their popular action figure series 'figma', based on From Software's game Elden Ring, the 'Wolf's Drifter', is scheduled for release in January 2025.
In the game, the NPC Wolf's Drifter 'Vargram' is one of the first Tarnished to enter the Roundtable Hold, and many players are likely to have a deep impression of him from the Volcano Manor incident. However, this product is not Vargram himself, but rather the player character wearing the Wolf's Drifter armor. Whether in promotional videos or pre-release network tests, this Wolf's Drifter equipment was used to represent the player's position, making it From Software's officially designated protagonist image.
The "figma Wolf's Drifter" is produced as a fully articulated figure, standing approximately 16 cm tall. Its entire body utilizes digital sculpting to carve out details, creating intricate features that are even closer to the concept art than the in-game models. From the complex engravings on the head and wrists to the fine rivets and battle damage marks, the sculpting is high-density and profound. Rich metallic colors, shadow washes, and weathering paintwork are also applied to express the cool, battle-worn appearance of the metal armor.
Regarding articulation, in addition to the original joint parts common to the figma series, newly designed double-joint parts have been specifically created for the elbows and knees of this figure. Furthermore, independent movable joints for the helmet's fur, and soft plastic for the waist armor and belt, among other areas, enhance the range of motion despite the complex armor structure. Accessories include common early to mid-game armaments such as the "Lordsworn's Straight Sword," "Iron Roundshield," "Twinblade," and "Torch," as well as the "Flask of Crimson Tears" used by players for healing, and the iconic weapon "Dark Moon Greatsword," which has appeared throughout the Souls series.
Additionally, customers who order this product from the official GOODSMILE ONLINE SHOP will receive a limited bonus: an "Elden Ring LOGO printed L-size stand." The "figma Torrent, the Spectral Steed Action Figure," which assists players in traversing fractured terrain in the game, is also currently under development.
