PROOF Co., Ltd., a company that releases various anime and manga character merchandise, following their "Edward & Alphonse -Brothers-" release, is once again featuring the TV anime "Fullmetal Alchemist FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST" as its theme to launch the latest product, the "Roy Mustang & Maes Hughes -Friends-" diorama figure! The suggested retail price is 61,600 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in December 2024.
"Fullmetal Alchemist FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST" is the second anime adaptation of Japanese manga artist Hiromu Arakawa's "Fullmetal Alchemist," based on a version more faithful to the original work. The story tells of a world where alchemy is highly developed, and a pair of brothers who lost their mother—the elder brother Edward Elric and the younger brother Alphonse—commit the greatest taboo in alchemy, "Human Transmutation," in an attempt to resurrect their mother... The State Alchemist known as "Flame," Roy Mustang, met his good friend Maes Hughes at military training school. The two, deeply loyal to each other, once promised to help each other, with the goal of Roy ascending to the position of Führer.
The PROOF "Roy Mustang & Maes Hughes -Friends-" diorama figure measures approximately 27.5 cm in height (to the top of Hughes' head). Roy and Hughes, both in military uniforms, are sculpted together, inspired by a scene where the two battle enemies, depicting them fighting side-by-side in their military attire. Roy's crouching pose and flame effects recreate the look of him rubbing his ignition cloth gloves, preparing to unleash a flame attack; Hughes, on the other hand, displays a composed expression, with his sharp military knife and other details meticulously sculpted!
