Bandai Candy, the candy toy division of Bandai Co., Ltd. in Japan, will release the latest product in its popular assembly model candy toy "SHOKUGAN MODELING PROJECT" series, based on the robot anime "Future Robot Daltanious": "SMP Daltanious"! The suggested retail price is 12,980 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in June 2024!
The Japanese robot anime "Daltanious" (Future Robot Daltanious, also known as Future Combination), which aired in 1979, tells the story of the evil Zaar Empire attempting to invade Earth. Protagonist "Kento Tate" accidentally discovers the giant spaceship Adal Base buried underground and, by chance, is chosen by Dr. Earl to be the pilot of the robot "Atlas." The giant combining robot featured in the show, Daltanious, is formed by the combination of three machines: Atlas, Gumper, and Beralios. Its special move is the "Flame Sword - Flame Cross Slash"!
"SMP Daltanious" faithfully recreates the "Daltanious" robot, formed by the combination of the phantom robot Atlas, the mechanical lion Beralios, and the Gumper fighter jet! It maintains the simple yet robust proportions characteristic of Super Sentai robot toys and inherits the transformation, combination, and gimmick mechanisms from the DX toys, achieving the wide range of articulation that SMP specializes in. The small fighter jet piloted by Kento Tate is meticulously reproduced, and parts are included to make Beralios look even more like a lion. The heavy fighter jet piloted by Danji Hiiragi can also transform into a glider form.
The three-machine combined Daltanious stands approximately 18 cm tall! The massive lion head on its chest is incredibly majestic, and with its equipment and weapons, it can unleash the powerful "Flame Cross Slash"! The "PB Limited Edition" also includes additional weapons, allowing for various impressive moves such as a one-handed sword, boomerang, and equipped neutron missiles! Truly nostalgic~~
