Japanese figure manufacturer GOOD SMILE COMPANY has developed the "wall figure" series, designed to be displayed on walls, in response to collectors' feedback regarding "lack of display space," "uncertainty on how to display figures," and "desire for more aesthetically pleasing displays." The first release in this series features the popular character from the animated film *GRIDMAN UNIVERSE*: "Rikka Takarada wall figure"! The suggested retail price is 14,800 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in January 2025.
"Rikka Takarada," the heroine of *SSSS.GRIDMAN*, an anime adaptation of Tsuburaya Productions' tokusatsu work *Denkou Choujin Gridman*, is a classmate of Yuta Hibiki, Sho Utsumi, and Akane Shinjo. Her demeanor and fashion sense are quite stylish, and she has even worked as a hair model. Although she often appears lazy and easily bothered, deep down she is a kind-hearted person who struggles to say no. Rikka's family runs a recycling shop called "JUNK SHOP Aya," and since the computer "JUNK," where GRIDMAN resides, is located there, it also serves as the base for the GRIDMAN Alliance. Akane Shinjo's house is right next door, and though the two, once close friends, gradually drifted apart at some point, Rikka still deeply cares for Akane, considering her an irreplaceable friend.
