U-TREASURE, a Japanese jewelry brand renowned for its collaborations with popular culture IPs, has specially launched the "Future Boy Conan 45th Anniversary 18K Gold / Sterling Silver Gold-Plated Work Robot Articulated Figure" to celebrate the 45th anniversary of animation master Hayao Miyazaki's "Future Boy Conan." These figures are priced at 2.42 million JPY and 385,000 JPY respectively, and will be released in August 2024!
"Future Boy Conan" is the first animated work directed by animation master Hayao Miyazaki in 1978, and also the first domestic TV animation broadcast by NHK, holding a very important position in the history of Japanese animation. The story is adapted from American author Alexander Key's 1970 novel "The Incredible Tide," narrating an adventure story that unfolds with Conan, a boy who survived a great war, and Lana, a girl with psychic abilities. The Work Robot is one of the most iconic vehicles in this work, produced by Industrial Island for various civil engineering tasks.
The design of this product faithfully recreates the Work Robot's appearance from the anime. Most astonishingly, despite being crafted from precious metals, this Work Robot features articulated mechanisms! Simple rotational articulation is present in the control levers, shoulders, and wrists, allowing for basic posing.
Each Work Robot comes with a dedicated display case. The case will also feature the "Future Boy Conan" logo and the product's serial number. The official statement also specifically reminds collectors to appreciate this item as an indoor decoration.
The "U-Treasure Future Boy Conan 45th Anniversary Work Robot Articulated Figure" is available in two versions: 18K Gold and Sterling Silver Gold-Plated. While there are no significant differences in design and articulation, the price difference is substantial. Interested collectors are encouraged to visit the official website to explore this exceptionally distinguished and tasteful collectible!
