Japanese gashapon manufacturer Kitan Club (キタンクラブ) will release its latest product based on the super popular "Chiikawa" series: the "Chiikawa Subjugation Scene" Gashapon! There are three types available, with a suggested retail price of 500 JPY per capsule, scheduled to be released in late February 2024!
"Chiikawa," created by Japanese manga artist Nagano (ナガノ), depicts the story of the two-headed small animal "Chiikawa tribe" in a cute picture book style. These small, cute, mysterious creatures earn their living by performing tasks such as weeding and subjugation, leading lives that are sometimes happy, sometimes difficult. Although this fantastical world is presented in a very cute style, it also contains many realistic and dark elements, bringing a unique charm to the work.
Kitan Club's "Chiikawa Subjugation Scene" Gashapon is the first to sculpt these impressive subjugation scenes! With a size of approximately 6 cm in height, it meticulously recreates the vivid forms of Chiikawa, Hachiware, and Usagi teaming up to carry out subjugation missions in the large-scale subjugation arc. It includes three types: "That Child," "Big Bird," and "Tofu Mimicry Type." The characters' expressions and body movements are faithful to the original work, and their brave appearance fighting against the chimera is truly exhilarating! Because they are assembleable, they have a sense of volume not typically found in gashapon toys. All three types lined up are super cute!
