Japanese designer toy brand REDSHARK (レッドシャーク) has announced its latest product from "Baki", the "Retsu Kaioh" soft vinyl toy! It will be available for pre-order (made-to-order) starting March 8, 2024, at the Japanese specialty gallery - Hakaba Gallery (墓場の画廊) ONLINE STORE, with shipping expected to begin in July 2024. The suggested retail price is 14,300 JPY (tax included).
The man "Retsu Kaioh," almost synonymous with Chinese martial arts in the "Baki" series, is sculpted in a shirtless pose! This REDSHARK soft vinyl toy stands approximately 21 cm tall, faithfully recreating Retsu Kaioh's incredibly solid musculature, thick neck, and stern facial features. The impressive thickness of his chest and back muscles is evident from the side. In addition to his arms and head, even his braided ponytail boasts superb articulation! A major highlight of this piece is the ability to recreate Retsu Kaioh's appearance after his duel with the primitive man "Pickle," where he lost his right leg and had it replaced with a prosthetic, thanks to interchangeable parts.
