After Hong Kong toy brand BigBoysToys unveiled the prototype of "Krang" from the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" theme for its "Bulkyz Collection" series – known for its massive size and powerful sculpts – at the end of 2021, it was finally officially announced yesterday (28th) after a long wait! Pre-orders are now open on the BigBoysToys official website, with an estimated release in June 2024, priced at US$240.
The "Bulkyz Krang," designed by FOON (@foons_creations), perfectly captures the imposing power of this giant evil warlord from Dimension X. Its arms extend past its knees, its legs are as thick as oil drums, and its bright red shoes have a strong presence, all complemented by a small head. This design exudes the original Krang's somewhat clumsy yet immensely powerful charm. Turning to the back reveals a wealth of intricate details – it's incredibly cool!
The coloring adopts the 2D-style paint application often seen in many BigBoysToys figures. In addition to beautifully rendering Krang's vibrant colors, extensive shading effects make the body, full of mechanical lines, even richer. Furthermore, the Krang body inside the robot's abdomen can be removed for play. With a total of 11 points of articulation throughout the body, this is definitely a big guy that looks great on display and feels fantastic to play with.
