GOOD SMILE COMPANY's affordable pre-painted figure series "POP UP PARADE" from Japan is releasing the "POP UP PARADE DIO" PVC figure, based on the popular work "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure"! The suggested retail price is 4,800 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in September 2024!
The character Dio Brando (ディオ・ブランドー), often referred to as DIO, is from Japanese manga artist Hirohiko Araki's work "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure". He is the primary antagonist, characterized by his arrogance, megalomania, and abandonment of humanity and emotion, yet his evil charisma attracts many fans. He first appeared in the series' first part, "Phantom Blood", and made a powerful return as the final BOSS in the third part, "Stardust Crusaders". Furthermore, his influence spans from the first to the sixth parts of the work, making him a villain of significant importance throughout the entire series.
The "POP UP PARADE DIO" PVC figure, standing approximately 19 cm tall, recreates DIO's appearance from his return in Part 3. His wild demeanor, with a yellow-green outfit, golden hair, and golden-red eyes, is captured along with his iconic JoJo pose with hands on hips. While the figure meticulously sculpts his firm abdominal muscles and shoulders as broad as the horizon, his slender waist makes his overall alluring and flamboyant aura utterly undeniable! Details such as the heart-shaped belt, knee pads, neck collar, and shoes are painted with varying textures, adding depth to the overall presentation. The prominent bulge below is also very eye-catching!
