BANPRESTO, a prize figure brand under Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS company, will release the second installment in its latest series based on Yoshihiro Togashi's popular work Yu Yu Hakusho, titled "Dark Tournament - Hiei," scheduled for release in July 2024.
The popular character Hiei (ひえい) from Yu Yu Hakusho is the son of an ice maiden born in the Glacier Country. Deemed a cursed child bringing disaster, he was abandoned by his clan at birth. To search for the Ice Tear Stone left by his birth mother, Hina, he had a third eye, the "Jagan Eye," implanted. He excels in swordsmanship and the "Jagan Eye Incineration Fist" (邪王炎殺拳), a fighting technique that manipulates demonic black flames. Due to his overwhelming and uncontrollable power, he must bind his right arm and Jagan Eye with bandages to seal the power of the Jagan Eye Black Dragon.
The BANPRESTO prize figure "Yu Yu Hakusho - Dark Tournament - Hiei" stands approximately 14 cm tall. The figure is themed after the "Dark Tournament Arc" from the anime, faithfully recreating Hiei in his blue sleeveless gi. The bandages on his forehead are removed, revealing his third Jagan Eye, and he is sculpted in a dynamic pose unleashing his "Jagan Eye Sword" (邪王炎殺劍) technique! Black demonic flame effect parts envelop the sword, and his swift, lunging posture conveys the incredible speed of his sword attack!
