Did you toy enthusiasts get your hands on the Space series products released by Danish LEGO Toy Company this March? Today, the editor is bringing you two more new products with the same theme, scheduled to launch on April 1st: the Friends series' "42602 Space Research Rover" and the City series' "60439 Space Science Lab"! The suggested retail prices are US$49.99 and US$45.99 respectively.
LEGO 42602 Space Research Rover
Suggested Retail Price: US$49.99, Total Parts: 514 pieces, Estimated Release Date: April 1, 2024
First, let's look at the 514-piece Space Research Rover. In addition to the orange and white color scheme prominent in this space series, a large number of translucent and solid purple parts are incorporated into the windows and wheel rims. This fully conveys the Friends series' consistent vibrant aesthetic while maintaining a futuristic feel. Once assembled, the rover stands approximately 12 cm tall and is 17 cm long. It features an openable roof, a movable robotic arm for mounting a camera, and in addition to the cockpit, there's a research area and a space-saving fold-down bed. Other contents include a hoverboard, an alien plant with an alien hidden in its flower, astronauts Olivia and William, and a dog in a spacesuit.
LEGO 60439 Space Science Lab
Suggested Retail Price: US$45.99, Total Parts: 560 pieces, Estimated Release Date: April 1, 2024
Next up is the Space Science Lab, which the editor is personally very excited about. Once assembled, you get a dome-shaped laboratory building, approximately 13 cm tall, with an alien plant cultivated in the center. What's fantastic is that this research facility can also open up, allowing you to play with the internal control room, lounge area, and kitchen. Other contents include two astronauts, an alien, a wheelchair, and an exploration jetpack that the wheelchair can be mounted on. Furthermore, this set can be combined with the already released "60434 太空基地＆火箭發射台 (Space Base and Rocket Launchpad) " to further expand playability.
