The Technic series from Danish toy company LEGO will release a new supercar-themed set, number 42196, on April 1, 2024: "Lamborghini Huracán Tecnica Orange"! The suggested retail price is US$84.99.
This set comprises a total of 806 pieces, and once assembled, measures 28 cm long and 12 cm wide. It faithfully recreates the real car's distinctive front bumper, the fixed rear wing designed to enhance downforce, and hexagonal exhaust pipes, among other features. While the roof section does show a noticeable difference compared to the real car's extremely elegant curved lines, it still embodies the consistent aesthetic and mechanical beauty characteristic of the LEGO Technic series. The rear end, in my personal opinion, is absolutely stunning! Playability features include front-wheel steering operated by a gear on the roof, openable doors, and a V10 engine with working pistons. As a sophisticated entry-level Technic set, both its size and piece count are quite accessible, making it highly recommended for toy enthusiasts who love Lamborghinis!
