In the latest game update for the world's largest PC strategy game, "Teamfight Tactics," titled "Inkborn Fables," an ancient aesthetic sweeps through the world of TFT, bringing with it mythical legends and wondrous spirits. "Teamfight Tactics: Inkborn Fables" will officially launch on PC and mobile devices on March 20, 2024. During the "Teamfight Tactics" Remix Rumble Championship finals on March 3, Riot Games shared a sneak peek of "Inkborn Fables," offering a glimpse into its game mechanics, traits, augments, and champions, including two brand-new characters.
Players will be able to experience over 80 different encounters, keeping gameplay fresh and exciting.
"With 'Inkborn Fables,' we wanted to explore a different atmosphere in Teamfight Tactics and how we could transition players from the party vibe of 'Remix Rumble' to a more relaxed style, listening to ancient legends and stories. 'Inkborn Fables' will take players on an adventure in a new fantastical natural world, filled with beautiful scenery, but unexpected things can still happen along the journey. Players will discover the myths and legends of this set through 'Inkborn Fables'' champions, traits, augments, encounters, and other elements," said Lynda Tang, Lead Set Designer for Riot Games.
Among the 59 champions in "Inkborn Fables," two brand-new heroes from the world of Runeterra will make their debut as playable units. While Aphelios's twin sister, Alune, has appeared many times in "League of Legends" and "Legends of Runeterra," always as part of Aphelios's kit and lore, "Inkborn Fables" finally allows her to take the stage as a champion herself. "Teamfight Tactics" will also do something unprecedented this time: introduce a new character not just to the "Teamfight Tactics" set, but to the entire Runeterra universe. Kobuko, the Joyous Paw, is a brand-new Yordle Brawler, making his first appearance in "Inkborn Fables."
This set will feature 27 traits and over 100 augments, and what would a complete "Teamfight Tactics" game update be without new Little Legends? We will be introducing the new Little Legend "Chaos," as well as new skins for some existing Little Legends, including "Spirit Blossom Choncc," "Umbra," and "Ink Sprite." "Inkborn Fables" will also introduce 3 new Chibi Champions: "Chibi Morgana," "Chibi Morgana Immortal Journey," and "Chibi Ahri Spirit Blossom."
