Japanese high-end model manufacturer CCP has announced its latest collaboration project with renowned Japanese sculptor Yoshi., 'CCP×Yoshi. Project'. The third installment, the "EVA Unit-02" resin cast statue, has finally been revealed! With a reference price of 34,980 JPY, pre-orders are open on the CCP ONLINE SHOP, with an estimated release in late October 2024.
Reinterpreted with the unique and grotesque style of genius sculptor Yoshi., the third installment of the 'CCP×Yoshi. Project' features EVA Unit-02, based on its battle against the Mass Production Evas in the theatrical film, creating a high-quality PS hard plastic model with a total height of approximately 19 cm. As a shared series with the Unit-01 and Mass Production Evas that recreate GK kits, Unit-02 is presented with an entirely new sculpt, wielding the greatsword snatched from the Mass Production Evas with both arms, while at its feet lie the severed, blood-splattered corpses of the Mass Production Evas!
While maintaining Unit-02's silhouette, Yoshi.'s alien, biological aesthetic is infused, with sharp, claw-like hands and feet, and detailed musculature and spinal features throughout the body, giving it a more organic appearance. To highlight the depth of the entire piece, the body is treated with complex, multi-layered color gradients, emphasizing shadow expression under the supervision of Yoshi.-sensei and Grand Works (グランドワークス), creating an atmosphere that is both beautiful and dangerous.
Furthermore, it includes interchangeable hand parts for holding the "Dual-Bladed Sword" and "High-Vibration Particle Knife", allowing for different weapon configurations and poses; the head also comes with two parts, "Normal State" and "Berserk State", to recreate the intense battle scenes from the theatrical/TV versions!
