The alloy action figure series "MORTAL MIND", released by Chinese toy brand CCSTOYS, has officially announced its latest product from "Getter Robo Armageddon", the "Shin Getter 1 Stars Slasher Ver.", slated for release in May 2024.
This product is a special edition modified from the regular version released in 2022. The name "Stars Slasher" and the new weapon "Star Slasher Axe" are derived from the combined ultimate attack "Ultimate Getter Tomahawk" performed by Shin Dragon and Shin Getter 1 in the OVA anime "Getter Robo Armageddon". In this attack, Shin Dragon concentrates all its energy onto Shin Getter 1, forming a massive Getter Tomahawk larger than a planet, which then slices the merged form of Corwen & Stinger along with Jupiter in half with a single strike. This move is often referred to as "Star Slasher Axe" in China.
The "MORTAL MIND Shin Getter 1 Stars Slasher Ver." modifies Shin Getter 1 based on this image. The 33 cm tall main body features newly sculpted head parts and new wing parts that can recreate scenes of escaping the atmosphere and heading into space. The red armor and other parts of the entire machine have been changed from the original metallic paint to electroplated coloring, further enhancing the machine's weighty texture. The internal LED light-emitting mechanisms throughout the machine have also been changed to the same green as in the anime, depicting Getter Ray energy overflowing from within the body.
The most distinctive original weapon, the "Star Slasher Axe", is a large Getter Tomahawk that materializes the silhouette of the "Ultimate Getter Tomahawk" from the anime. While its size isn't exaggerated enough to actually slice stars, it boasts an impressive length of approximately 46 cm. Its two blades can rotate up and down to recreate scythe and tomahawk forms, allowing for various cool battle poses when combined with the alloy movable frame.
